American Products, Inc. (API), is a local manufacturer serving the construction, retail, and restaurant industry. We specialize in manufacturing architectural metal products locally from our facilities in Oldsmar, Fl. These products include, but are not limited to the following: Storefronts, Doors, Canopies, Sunshades, ACM panel systems, Brake metal, Awnings, Roof screens, and handrails. Some of our customers are National chains, such as, Chipotle, Outback, Lululemon, Warby Parker, Panera, Wawa, Forever 21, H&M, Gap, Old Navy, Athleta, etc., as well as architects, general contractors and subcontractors located nationally throughout the US.
We are seeking a dynamic Project Coordinator to work with our internal teams as well as our clients from the beginning of a project through project completion. Position requires above average, computer skills. This is an office based position.
Project Coordinator Requirements:
- Experience or prior knowledge as a project coordinator, project manager, bid coordinator, construction coordinator, or design assistance
- Excellent computer skills are absolutely a must, especially in excel and word.
- Blueprint exp. a plus
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and maintain excellent organization skills are an absolute must
- Division 8, Division 5 and Division 10 experience is a plus
- Knowledge of the construction industry is beneficial for this position but not required.
Project Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Manage project from receipt of Purchase Order through shipping.
- Must maintain constant communication and follow ups with clients to obtain key information such as dates, dimensions for products, etc.
- Ability to complete and organize project paperwork (For example: material lists, quotes, order acknowledgements, shipping documents, work orders, bill of materials, etc.)
- Willing to work in a team environment, as well as, work with clients to support all ongoing projects.
- Will create regular project reports for clients and internal teams and handle logistics of getting materials to site
- Ability to review and approve shop drawings
- Handle project close-out such as creating operation and maintenance manuals in a timely manner for submission to the client.
