Job Description

The Account Manager will manage existing accounts, upsell into those accounts and also bring in new accounts, which will include national chain store customers located throughout the country. There is limited, if any, travel required.

At American Products, Inc. (API), we manufacture architectural metal products locally from our facilities in Oldsmar, Fl. These products include, but are not limited to the following: Storefronts, Doors, Canopies, Sunshades, ACM panel systems, Brake metal, Awnings, Roof screens, and handrails.

Some of the largest national chains in the country are our customers, Chipotle, Outback, Lululemon, Warby Parker, Panera, Wawa, Forever 21, H&M, Gap, Old Navy, Athleta, etc. as well as architects, general contractors and subcontractors located nationally throughout the US.

Account Manager Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
• Organize and manage pre-sale for multiple projects across your accounts and prospects.
• Talking extensively with customers regarding their quotes, orders, new designs, etc.
• Organizing and managing multiples projects among your accounts and prospects
• Upsell and increase sales with existing and new accounts

Account Manager Requirements:

• Must be customer service and sales oriented with outstanding account management skills
• Must have excellent computer skills, especially in Excel and Word.
• Extremely organized and detail oriented.
• Must be able to manage a fast-paced work environment and prioritize projects accordingly.
• Prior experience in architecture, working with architects, construction, signs, architectural metals, manufacturing, a plus but not required.
