Compensation: Base salary plus commission. Base salary is based upon industry experience. This is not a call center environment.
American Products, Inc. (API), a local manufacturer serving the construction, retail, and restaurant industry, specializes in manufacturing architectural metal products such as storefronts, doors, canopies, sunshades, acm panel systems, brake metal and handrail in Oldsmar, Fl. Our customers include some of the largest national chains in the country such as Chipotle, Outback, PDQ, Gap, Ann Taylor, Lids, Forever 21, Gap, Old Navy etc. as well as architects, general contractors and subcontractors located nationally throughout the US.
In search of a very dynamic, outgoing, and professional Inside Sales Representative. You will work out of our office making outbound sales calls to sell our construction-related products. You will be contacting national chains, architects, construction companies and subcontractors.
Inside Sales Representative Responsibilities
- Must be able to make a high volume number of calls to prospects such as general contractors, glass installers, architects, existing catalog holders, customers that have not purchased recently, etc.
- Must maintain the existing customer base that you build in an attempt to sell construction products
- Sell!
- Manage and maintain your pipeline in our CRM database and keep records current.
- Meet or exceed call, bid, and purchase order quotas
- Develop sales proposals, presentations and quotes for customers
- Collaborate with marketing and sales team on marketing strategies
- Maintain up to date understanding of industry trends, products and technical information
Inside Sales Representative Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience in an inside sales role – calling on warm prospects as well as cold calling.
- Strong computer skills absolutely required
- Must have a very successful closing history.
- Prior construction, manufacturing or bid coordination experience a plus but not required.
- Experience with blueprints a plus but not required.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
