Job Description

American Products, Inc. (API) manufactures architectural metal products such as storefronts, doors, canopies, sunshades, ACM panel systems, brake metal, handrail, etc. from our facilities in Oldsmar, FL. Our customers include some of the largest national chains in the country such as Chipotle, Outback, Lululemon, Warby Parker, Panera, Wawa, Forever 21, H&M, Gap, Old Navy, Athleta, and many more; as well as architects, general contractors and subcontractors located nationally throughout the US.

We are hiring a Shipping/Receiving Manager to direct packaging orders from receiving through production, and onto shipping and delivery in a timely and appropriate manner. You will also complete other related duties.

Shipping/Receiving Manager Responsibilities:

• Must maintain schedules and daily dock assignments.
• Must monitor daily shipping/receiving activities.
• In charge of contacting and managing relations with freight carries both local and intrastate.
• Monitor quality of product & material handling.
• Establish, maintain and promote high standards of customer service.
• Provide dispatch support as needed / required.
• Jump in and be hands-on where an extra set of hands is needed.

Shipping/Receiving Manager Requirements:

• Must have experience in material handling, including raw and finished good management.
• Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing to team and management.
• Prior experience working in a warehouse environment, ideally in the construction or manufacturing industry.
• Must have above average computer skills, especially with Excel as well as general computer proficiency.
• Ability to effectively multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to quickly communicate solutions if problems occur.
• Professionally communicate with customers and suppliers, especially when under pressure.
