Minimizing Our Environmental Impact
API is committed to using resources efficiently and reducing our impact on the environment. From our business offices to our manufacturing facilities, we have made improvements in energy and water consumption, as well as reducing our waste and pollution. API has taken strategic steps towards improving its manufacturing processes and limiting its effect on the surrounding community.
Our Green Iniatives
Reclaimed Water
API uses reclaimed (recycled) water in all of our warehouse and production facilities. This effort helps protect the sensitive watersheds throughout our region (a region that is extremely susceptible to droughts and water shortages).
Metals
All aluminum and steel materials produced and manufactured by API include a high content of recycled materials. By recycling old metals, API can use less energy than manufacturing from new materials
Powder Coating
The Powder Coating process that API has adopted has been accepted and specified as the Best Available Control Technology (BACT) to reduce air pollution. Powder Coating has eliminated the volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) that have for many years polluted our air.
Window Film
Window Film is designed to reduce the amount of solar heat transmission through window glass by increasing the solar reflection and absorption. Window film can decrease the energy exerted by your internal heating and cooling systems by up to 50%.
